Using Event RSVPs
Event RSVPs let you know who’s coming (and who isn’t) before a gig or social event. When enabled on a calendar event, Chorus Connection automatically emails invitations, records every response, and gives you the ability to communicate with members based on their RSVP.
Go to: Manage>Calendar and choose an existing event. (Admins & Managers Only)
Enable RSVPs after you create an event.
-
Open an existing calendar event and look for the RSVP status under the event title. If it says RSVPs are currently disabled for this event, you can hit enable to get started.
- The next page will ask you to compose an invitation email to members. Enter a subject and body and hit Send Invite. (You can send yourself a test instead if you want to see how your message looks before sending.) Full event details will be included with your message automatically.
-
Unless the event is restricted, all active members will receive the email invitation asking them to reply Yes, No, or Maybe. Members can also include a note when they RSVP.
After inviting members, you can track responses, send follow-up messages, and export results.
- You can view responses by section or voice part to ensure balance for a performance.
- You can send follow up messages by RSVP status. All RSVP message will automatically include full event details and all messages will be stored with the event so your members can review the information you've provided at any time. Here are some example messages:
- Send messages to Yes responders with final event details.
- Send follow-up messages to No Response folks to encourage them to RSVP.
- Send messages specifically to No responders if you want to try to change their minds.
- You can export RSVP information for the event.
- If you want to stop accepting additional RSVPs at any point, you can choose the lock option. While an event is locked, members cannot submit RSVP responses.
How do I make sure only the right people can RSVP to an event?
If you use the Restrict Access option for a calendar event, you can choose specific lists of people who can see the event and RSVP to it.
